Dallas Days

On Friday in Dallas we went to the Sixth-floor museum at Dealey Plaza to look at the JFK exhibition. It is a historical place with much significance to Americans.

After museum we had time to get lunch in Dallas downtown. On the way we stopped by an interesting monument, The Giant Eyeball. The whole park around it was beautiful as well.

After eating lunch at Chick-fil-A we started to make our way down towards the Reunion tower. In there we were able to see the whole downtown Dallas. The tower is a must-see, if you want to get the whole idea of the size of the city.

Lastly, we went to the West Village shopping center by train and wandered around in Sephora and some other shops. Then, by popular demand, we went to Target, where we bought food for our Airbnb.

On Saturday we went to the Perot museum of nature and science. The exhibition was very interesting and well-made. We learned about humans, space, minerals, animals etc. The museum had a lot to offer for everyone!

After the museum we got lot of free time that we could spend in downtown in any way we want. We all went to eat lunch and after met up at the Farmer’s market and did some souvenir shopping there.

Our last goal was to get a bus ride to our Airbnb since the Farmer’s market was so far away from there. We managed to find and pay the bus and traveled back to our Airbnb easily!

It was gameday on Sunday and we went to the Dallas Cowboys vs. New England Patriots football game. The AT&T Stadium was full of fans and has capacity for 100 000 people.

One enthusiastic fan had driven even a whole 14 hours from Iowa to watch the game, although that is nothing compared to our journey.

The parking lots around the arena had RVs and trucks with people watching the game from outside with portble televisins and barbequeing while watching. They had brought their TVs from home since the tickets to get inside are expensive. Cowboys won 38-3 so it was a huge win for Dallas. Go Cowboys!

Now it's time for heading towards Norfolk and Ocracoke Island.
